Conceptualization
Conceptualization is my favorite part of nearly any project, as at the time it feels like anything is possible. For the beginning stages of this project we had been creating everything for AR, as it was meant to be an AR escape room. It was also great to be able to be involved with the game design and UX aspects of the project.
Play Testing & Flowcharting
Creating the flowchart was one of our first steps when it came to bringing the game VR. I worked closely with the team lead in order to create the play testing questions, as we needed to be meticulous about how each question was worded, to ensure we get the most helpful answers.
The flowchart laid out the course of the experience for when developers began creating the game in Unity.

In-Game UI and Assets
I created a variety of in-game assets from task markers to in game screens. One of my favorite parts of this project (besides seeing it come to fruition) was creating the in-game screens that had mock UI elements. Seeing the reactions of everyone who was able to experience Deep Space Escape at FUSE 2019 was one of the most rewarding moments as a designer.
